Humphreys Building (HUM)
The current Humphreys Building, named for professor emeritus Pauline Humphreys, was created in 1970 by joining two buildings built in 1915-16, the original Humphreys Building and the original W.C. Morris Science building, later to become the original College High School, with a four-story addition.
The Humphreys Building is home to the following schools:
- School of Public Services — includes the Criminal Justice and Criminology, Military Science and Leadership/ROTC and Crisis and Disaster Management programs.
- School of Geoscience, Physics, and Safety (2nd & 3rd floors) — includes the Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Earth Science, Geographic Information Systems, Geography, Physics and Safety programs.
The Humphreys Building also houses the McNair Scholars Program — a TRIO program that prepares first-generation students for earning doctoral degrees.
