Elliott Student Union (UN)

Known as the “campus living room,” the Elliott Student Union is located in the heart of the main campus. The first phase of the Union was built in 1962, with an addition completed in 1966 and a renovation completed in 1990.A gathering place for students, the Union offers a large atrium, meeting rooms, the Sandra Temple Elliott Ballroom, and flexible spaces available for a variety of events, including the new 300-seat Union Auditorium. The Helen Gilbert Recreation Center houses Student Activities, Volunteer Services and the 10-lane Union Bowling Center. Also housed in the Union is the Success Advising Center, the Center for Global Education, the Military and Veterans Success Center, Meetings and Conference Services, and the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity. A variety of dining options are available in the Food Courte on the lower level. The Union was named for former UCM President Ed Elliott upon his retirement in 1999.
