The Madison Theatre – a new, 550-seat, state-of-the-art performing arts center – provides students with the opportunity to see internationally-known performers and spectacular entertainment, all within walking distance of their classrooms or residence hall. Molloy students also have the opportunity to perform in the Madison Theatre during music recitals and school productions and can learn other aspects of the entertainment industry by serving as management interns and/or working on lighting, sound or other technical aspects of the theatre.
The Madison Theatre opened in November of 2011 with a star-studded gala headed by comedian Martin Short.
Molloy also offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) in Theatre Arts in collaboration with CAP21, "America's Musical Theatre Conservatory and Theatre Company." Many CAP21 students perform with professional performs on the Madison Theatre stage every semester.
