Center for Innovation

The Center for Innovation (CFI) is an interactive hub for the study of STEAM subjects: science and engineering laboratories, a media and technology center, a visual arts center, and mathematics classrooms and labs. These areas are flexible, innovative, integrated, and transformative in their arrangement in order to spark the imagination and curiosity of our ambitious, scholarly, and motivated students. Middle and Upper School students can explore building materials in the Fabrication Lab, prototype experimental ideas and products in the Innovation Lab, or record videos using the green screen and state-of-the-art equipment in the Media Lab. Our Tech Hub provides assistance and equipment to all of our Middle and Upper School students. It is also home to the Upper School Robotics Club.

The CFI boasts three light-filled art studios, providing two arts learning spaces for the Upper School and one for the Middle School. Work created in those studios is displayed in the Kent Place Gallery, which exhibits not only student work but also that of visiting artists. In the Math Studio, they can explore mathematics concepts outside of their classrooms or seek help with assignments. The Upper and Middle School Library is a popular destination for students to study, work on assignments, or check out the latest books. The Ethics Institute at Kent Place School is also located in the CFI, a first-of-its-kind institute that teaches ethics to students at the primary and secondary school levels.

A side stop is the STEM Garden, listen to perspectives from Primary School, Middle School, and Upper School.
