Porter Hall

Alumnus William Porter, Class of 1951, founder of E*Trade, made a generous gift and Adams State named the science, mathematics, and technology building in his honor.

Academic departments include biology, chemistry, computer science, geosciences, and mathematics.

On the first floor, the Edward Ryan Geological Museum, a collection of over 5000 world-class minerals and fossil specimens. The Math Lab is located on the second floor and offers tutoring for any mathematics class through calculus II. The STEM Center is dedicated to supporting the academic success of students pursuing and of the science and mathematics fields including education. Students have a comfortable and quiet place to complete homework, relax, meet in study groups, and receive tutoring.
