Rex Activity Center

Designed by Denver architect William Bowman in the Spanish Revival style in 1934 this was the University’s first gym. After construction of Plachy Hall in the 1960, the space was used for intramural sports and the occasional Halloween haunted house. In the mid-1990s the building was renovated into a student activity center and offers a variety of fitness options including a 2400 square foot climbing wall. For the more traditional fitness selections, students and employees can use the racquetball court, free weights, machine weights, and cardiovascular machines. Fitness classes include yoga, spin, and Zumba.

The Adams State Adventure Program (ASAP) rents outdoor equipment and organizes outdoor hiking, climbing, and camping trips.
